Can anyone tell me if the AU 5.0L V8 has a bleeder screw on the thermostat housing and if this housing is interchangeable with the EB 5.0L V8

Not sure EF SVO. I have seen a pix of an AU 5.0L and the thermostat housing looked like it had a bleeder plug/screw.

I am looking at making the control circuit for thermo fans and want to mount the thermo switch in the thermostat housing but dont wont to drill and tap mine.

By the way, thats an interesting pix you have. Where did you get it?

EF uses small hose on top radiator hose to bleed off, remove hose, run motor,it will eventually run stream of water, replace hose, bring to normal temp. and watch over flow water level,it may pull more water -with heater on-to remove air

I'll have a look on my AU when it gets home, bout an hour or so but pretty sure they haven't, no need for it the way the cooling system is setup on the late models.

I got that pic in an email a cpl of years back, i want to find out where that tree is lol.

No bleeder on there Ernie, it does have a provision in the casting on the top though, you could drill and tap for a sensor if needed.
