Hi guys,

I have just bought an EF S2 XR8.

Not sure what has been done to it yet, but I am going to do a few little light modifications.

Its going to be my daily driver, and I have another car I am doing up on the side so I wont be going too nuts with this.

Plans are LPG, with some nice fat torque and the lumpy V8 sound.

I know these arent the best engines for trying to extract great power without forced induction, but I am pretty sure that GT40P heads with a nice cam to go with it would be on the cards.

My question is, what are the best value modifications in your experience that I should perform?

Cheers

extractors, exhaust, decent intake & airfilter.

What style of LPG are you planning to run? If the car is to be dedicated LPG and not use the factory ECU then you have a wider range of head/cam/intake choices.

I'd certainly suggest GT40P or better heads, Edelbrock Torker or Performer RPM manifold, carb style mixer and a cam similar to a Comp 281HR...

I am unsure of what LPG options are out there for me.

I posted something similar in the LPG thread, basically I wouldnt mind paying a bit more to get a nice high tech system that will allow me to have a sweet running set up with good economy and power potential.

The first stop is LPG before any performance mods, so I would rather do it right, the first time around.

Wouldnt mind running it on straight LPG although I am planning on being able to drive the car anywhere, in everyones experience is LPG available almost everywhere around Australia these days?

Cheers

A set of underdrive pullies and a set of 3.9 diff gears doesn't go astray either.

Do as above with a quality gas setup and tune, should be quite nice. Maybe 3.73:1 diff gears if economy is a concern - still very good acceleration.
