hey boys

a mate is gonna lend me his unichip for a while, i wanna get it tuned n see what the power gain is like..

but i need to get it dyno tuned i think - so that will be rather expensive for a mates one.. then we have to tune it back for the 300zx..

meh we will see
u think its better to get a aus made system? must be compadible with lpg though

You have to get them tuned through a unichip dealer and from memory you will be looking at $400+. Also, there are a couple of versions of the unichip, the one your friend has may or may not be compatible with the falcon.

I am not a huge fan of the unichips, IMO it isn't a good way to tune an engine and their long term results are questionable, there are many who do use them though, and most claim decent results. If the engine is stock or only has a few mods, the results probably won't be huge, the V8 EEC is a fairly good unit and is more than capable of dealing with a few mods. IMO wait until you have finished moding the engien, then maybe look at EEC mods. Chiptorque or another form of edit would be preferable, but unichip is an option too.

cost me $385 for 2 hours dyno tuning my i6 fairmont with the unichip... best to do all mods then unichip... have to be a certain type to suit your ford as there is a few different versions....
