Im currently in the cleaning up stage of my conversion. As it stands ive got a 200kw cam and soon to be 220kw intake, 65mm t/b, appropriate MAF and maybe a set of gt40p heads. Will I need to get the motor tuned or will it run off the stock ECU?? It will also have a manual bolted behind and extractors with 2.5" strait through exhaust.

How did you with your manual bits ? There's a full manual conversion on eBay minus the ecu for $700 but pick up only in Vic and it's under eb v8 in search..

Yeah nearly there on the conversion! Just the bellhousing and Im done. Ive got some interest in my complete setup from my ute so if its within a reasonable price I will most likely buy the conversion off eBay.

mines a straight through 6 and it is ridiculously loud, you arent worried about the boys in blue taking an intense dislike to your car?

Yeah that thought came to mind, maybe 2.5" will be the note im looking for, just a small hotdog in there might help also. Got a manual xr8 ecu to add to the motor too, may help may not. Thoughts??
