Hi all
Have a 5 litre into my xf running manual gearbox and using the existing auto ecu. Have connected a neutral gear switch and clutch swith instead of tranny controller. From what i can tell the ecu doesnt have a tacho signal input? I haver a fault code "lost tacho signal" or "spout grounded". The spout isnt grounded and the only tacho wiring i can see is from coil to tfi module and cluster. Any ideas? maybe an intermittent tfi module or suspect coil.
Thanks

Tach signal is called IDM and connects to the ecu via a 22k resistor.

Without a manual ecu or chip with manual code you are also missing out on a bunch of HP since the TID signal is no longer being fed to the ecu.

Get a manual chip with forced neutral state, then you don't need to worry about clutch switches at all.
