I paid $300 for a complete engine and engine bay loom (unbutchered) from an EL XR8. This was from fordpro - so you know what that means. If you just have the engine part, and it is from an EB - I would guess $50-100

I wouldn't trust fordpro to flush my s**t, nothing but bad experiences with those a**hole...

Hope that el engine isnt rooted mate because they will look at any excuse to not help or refund your money, yh i was thinking around the $100 mark for the harness.

Don't worry, I don't trust them either. I only bought the looms (which are hard to find INTACT), as very few people know that they can be pulled through the firewall without having to chop and re-solder the plugs on.

The engine is sitting in an EB at the moment - And I bought that car as a whole (write-off). I only need the loom as the EL engine bay loom is different to the EB.

The thing about fordpro is they are rip-off merchants, but there are not a lot of decent e-series wreckers left who have the good parts (as opposed to ex-taxi's)

Fordpro are useless. I had to go back to them 4 times, at one point they kept me waiting 25 minutes, because every power window switch they kept giving me was rooted. Gave up in the end and cut my $10 losses.

Got tired of the messy EDV8 power distribution looms & ripped them out - replaced with loom from AUIII & ran it inside the LH guard. Battery went to the boot. The radiator overflow tank is replaced with PWR BA aluminum tank mounted on top of shock tower. Interesting most was done with minimum effort or destruction. Cost was $200 for the complete loom (including headlight wiring etc) & a few $ for connectors etc.

Richie.

You would be suprised how much alike they were. The only missing wires in AU loom were high beam warning & coolant level. I also rerouted the ABS wiring through the guard, across the front to modulator in LH front guard.
Ford engine harness was scrapped as had one made for the Motec.

Richie.
