just wondering, I've never seen an ea-ed v8 supercar. Oldest of the eseries I've seen is the ef/el shape. I'm presuming the EA supercars were produced, what do they look like? 2 minute google yielded no results..

DJR definetly had an EA/B - I was at bathurst while they were racing.

I believe he won in 94 with it.

The very first Ford V8 supercars used EA shells but they were updated immediately to EB spec/appearance before any competition.

Have a look at 1993 and 1994 in this link http://www.autopics.com.au/cache/list-2 ... l?cache=no

Plus look at 1992, 1993, 1994 & 1995 in this link http://www.autopics.com.au/cache/list-4 ... l?cache=no (1993 Bathurst is where my avatar came from)

And a few more pics below because I feel like sharing.

Attachments:
File comment: GSR poster someone was selling on eBay once. Cars are 1993 spec (ie without the winglets that were on 1994 cars)

File comment: Very early development pic, car was featured in Wheels magazine like this. Note that this kit is very similar to the EA GT prototype, just with an extra flat tray bolted under the front spoiler. The Sierra-spec BBS wheels also indicate DJR development car

File comment: Later development pic, car was featured in Motor magazine like this. Note the different front airdam. This was replaced with another design before competition.

File comment: Later development pic (same stage as above, car was featured in Motor magazine like this). Note the correct rear wing and paint scheme by this stage.

File comment: Shell promo poster someone was selling on eBay once. Everything's correct for 1992-3 except the car still has an EA grill

Can't see that one for some reason. It must be the wreckage of 17 after the Everlast VL Commodore was unsuccessfully lapped by DJ.

Edit: It's alright, I worked it out. Turned swear words back on and it comes up fine.

What a feeling it was when a Ford touring car, as they were called then, had a V8 in it!! Pretty much dominated the competition as there were always the 4 EBs coming over the line before the Holdens. No control tyres, compulsory pit, control this and that, those were the days!
