hey all.

At the monent im about 3/4 the way thru a v8 conversion.

the only things left r these annoying vac lines! and a few plugs.

i've never done a conversion before so im just sort of learning as i go and at the moment im in well ova my head. :(

i have a manual guide thingo for a 8 but its useless ey. theres no detail in it.

would any body be able to help me out with what these r or where they go.

With this 1 i know where 1 of the plugs is but i cant remember when i pulled it out weather both where plugged in.


i know theres alot there but any help would be great.

Are there any more on the throttle body, as in 2 the same size, about 8mm in O.D.??? If so, they could be for water to go through.
Those 2 connectors at the throttle body are TPS's, one for the ECU, and the other for the auto tranny ECU.

vac line two goes to the rocker cover breather thing just under the oil cap

plug three. 1 goes to engine loom and the other goes to auto if you used it if not dont worry about it

plug 1. pretty sure it goes to your starter motor

vac line 2. the one on the right goes to a t which conects to another vac line which goes to the egr vacuum regulater which is on the the driver side shock tower
and the othe goe to the fuel pressure regulator which is behind throttle body

look on plug 1 photo you can see the fuel pressure reg with the red vac hose that conects to it

plug 2. this plug goes to the auto ride compresser if it is an ltd if its not dont know what it is

if your not using auto rider shocks on the rear you just dont plug it anywhere

vac line 1. this goes to the polution canister which is under the front of the pass gaurd.

i almost gave up on it.

so for plug 3 its ok to just have 1 plugged in? cause i def cant find a second 1 for it.

have you used the electronic automatic with it cause if you have it should be on the auto loom

oh yep yep yep got it.

i thought that that 1 was for the o2 sensor but i got it mixed up with a nother plug i had in my hand at the time.

so yep found the 2 for that.

plug one goes to to thing to stop alt noise in your stereo its under the coil i think
