 eb 5ltr into au falcon ute?any probs i should be wary of?what changes do i have to make.please help no mechanics in bundy want the job,so ill have a go.thanks,daz.

In all honesty going to an EB 5.0 when you have a vehicle fitted with an AU 4.0 is a step backwards if your chasing power. Its a major step backwards as well.
Better off getting the correct AU motor if it had to be a V8 or if you are after power and not fussed how you get it , slip a turbo onto the 4.0.

you would have more power with your au 4.0 than an eb v8. is it stardard?

youd be better off with the v8 from an au anyway because they have a few upgrades over the eb 5.0

yep,totally standard as far as i know,with the 4 speed auto.

mmm it was just thought as i have an eb in the backyrd just sitting there with a great 302 in it with a aod box behind it.didnt know the au had more guts.

if that's the case, it would be worth it and get either au head/intake or aftermarket.
tho you would have to change wiring loom etc |

youd need to either wire the car as an eb 5.0l or run it with an aftermarket ecu is my guess, or run it with au 5.0l wiring and computer which makes more sense, and the au(maybe only the xr8 i dont know much at all about them) got better headers and the explorer manifold and some or all(not sure) got the better heads? ive been told some el xr8s got better stuff on them aswell. im drunk so im probably not making any sense at all
