Hi all,

I plan to upgrade my ba xt later this year and am spending my spare time shopping around and deciding what I would like.

I was wondering who had experience with ford warranties and modifications on late model v8 falcons? Someone told me that herrod modifications were completely allowed (provided they are the legal kind), is this true? I am considering a new fg xr8 ute as they are only $41k at the moment but I couldnt go three years without an exhaust :)

any info and experience would be great

thanks!

Save a bit more and get a GS....then who gives a f**k about the exhaust
Or put a coyote crate engine in your BA....that'll upgrade it!

fg xr8 ute ONLY 41k?.. jeez ok well wait a year or so and the fg gts with the boss motor will be cheaper coz everyone will be after the ones with the charged 5L.
or just wait a bit longer and get a charged 5L urself.

if its a ford warranty, ive been told by the ford service guys that if you change anything from stock or upgrade anything those parts arent under warranty. also any damage caused by those parts is not covered. for instance if you change your exhaust, then the exhaust isnt covered, plus if your ecu s**t itself and its emissions related, thats not covered. however a radiator issue still would be.
