what exhaust setups are u guys running on your ba/f xr8's
single 3
twin 2 1/2,
twin 2 3/4.
twin 3.

which brand of mufflers and how many? what brand of headers.

ill be interested to see which is the most popular.
i think it will be good to have all the info thats scattered around fordmods in the one thread.

as i dont know that much about the boss motors but im on the market for an xr8 it will help alot. feel free to post some sound clips.

i think a twin 2 3/4 with single defillipo mufflers and pacemaker headers would be a good set up?

Mine is stock at the moment but I'm going to build a 2 1/2" twin for it.
I'll try to get some Borla mufflers for it. There's a dealer here in W.A. for Borla.
I'll probably use small tube 4 into 1 pacemakers when I eventually get some headers for it.

I've tried to do another video of the car with the pacemakers on it however my clutch doesn't like me at the moment :(

I just looked at an X-force exhaust on a Super pursuit. looked like good welding and nice 304 stainless but the left hand header had a badly formed pipe and they actually touch the steering rack boot which of course melted.

twin 2.5 seems to be the most popular.
whats people opinions on xforce mufflers or difillipo mufflers?

are people running x pipes or similar

i know twin 2.5 can both be run down the drivers side. but how about twin 2 3/4?

I've seen twin 3" so I don't think there'll be a problem.

If you're after the best (proven again and again on the track)

DiFillipo Big Boy Headers/Cats/Exhaust.

FTW: The DiFillipo headers come with extra heat shields for the steering boots.
