Ok, I have a 95 ef fairmont and im trying to work out which yr the motor was built and what mustang yr model it would corrospond to, as im trying to get a bit extra out of the motor and I have found that there are a few parts that changed after 1993models. And the throttle body point's towards the passanger side of the car. any info would be a help thanks.

Basically the engines we have here match the '91-'95 model HO Mustang engine. So some (mostly EB1's) had the forged piston engine. From '92 in the Mustang they changed to hyper pistons. Everything else is the same.
After the stock dried up from those years we started getting Explorer based engines.

In terms of hardparts then yes, same as 93, but some stuff like throttle position sensors etc don't match. For some of that stuff they used F series parts or Crown Vic. The IAC I got for my NL was from a 91 Crown Vic, Mustang was different.
