the 351 is a longer stoke than the 302 so it won't fit inbetween the suspension towers. i know this as i was trying the same thing in my '92 EB falcon, so it would fit if it were a Windsor

The stroke has nothing to do with whether an engine will fit or not.
Deck height and Head design does however.
E-series up Falcons do in fact have the widest clearance between the shock towers than any Falcon before.
289/302's have an 8.2" deck height
302/351C's have a 9.2" deck height
351W's have a 9.5" deck height
351M/400C's have a 10.2" deck height
429/460's have a 10.3" deck height
429/460's are commonly fitted to earlier falcons(with narrower tower spacing) and will therefore also fit E-series Falcons.
BTW I have worked on two such 351W EB Falcons...they fit just fine.

doesnt matter if you drop a clevo in or a winsor engine the 1st thing you have to do for it is change the k frame over as its stronger than a 6 so just get a fairmont 8 k frame. There is a el up from me with a 351 clevo in it an its all passed its stuff easy as long as its a optional 6 an 8 model car, lm throwing my clevo into my EL straight gas setup an everything, as long as your headers are adapted to fit radiator exhaust k fram shocks an other stuff are done above board an properly cops cant touch the car at all

It seem this question gets asked an awful lot these days.
Pete.

Did this end up happening, Pete?

Asked around Adelaide, and got yes it fits, but, cant get rego.....the boffins down here wont allow an older engine in a newer car. Havent found an engineer who will stand up to them..LMAO. Got an NF ghia at the mo' ......and a clevo/FMX/9" sitting in the corner.

I did an article on another site about a 351W into an E-series because no-one seemed to care on this site whether i did it or not. It's taken 7 years for anyone to be interested.
If you did a cleveland legally you'd have to get an ADR emissions test done most likely but, personally, i just do it and not tell anyone. Just write 5.0L on it and do it.
Is your NF a V8 already?

2nd page of my Gallery has some pics of my Cougar.
It would easier to do a cleveland in a V8 model because it would just bolt up. You could even use the V8 4 spd auto. You'd just need a 28oz 11" flexplate.
