I could have sent a private email, but figured it could be a good discussion if others decide to do it.

Huge fan of the XB/XC bonnet flutes in BENJ and SWC's and I've finally got around to a.) finding a suitable XB donor.. and B. competent panel beater/spraypainter etc.. (have asked him to provide photos)

So I thought.. could I re route the vents to function like an intake?. I initially considered running down to the existing airbox but then considered possible intake lag (plus replaceing a heap of tubing that I would have to do anyway.

So then I thought about a couple of flat pod filters like these -> http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-F1158/

Into some 80mm alloy piping.. retrofit the 80mm maf then into a "c" bend then back to the throttle body. see the attached ... dodgy diagram.

Thoughts anyone?

Something like this? Much like the original '71 Boss 351 Ram Air setup except of course the air cleaner location.
