Hey guys, looking at putting a full stainless steel system on my AUIII XR8, im gana go for the twin 2 1/2 inch but i cant decide on the brand, iv got lukey in mind because i know they sound mean...

but i have hear that redback are pretty sweet aswell and a fair wack cheaper...

i know the best way would be custom made but honestly i dont want to spend that sort of coin...

any suggestion or websites to check out would be tops...

Just ram a screwdriver in the current muffler to puncture it a couple of times and it should sound louder.

From what I've been researching, no one does an off the shelf twin system for an AU....

Never heard one, but people who have used them say they are good. I'd check if they do an AU IRS exhaust though, it looks to be Live axle (they say EB-AU, all XR8 Sedans = IRS)

Which one do you run as on the website they have three options:
2 1/2″ dual, cat back exhaust in mild steel or stainless steel. Tips not included. Two options of muffler/muffler or muffler/tail.

MBM228MF AU V8 SEDAN IRS DUAL 2½” REAR MUFFLER
MBM229MF AU V8 SEDAN IRS DUAL 2½” CENTRE MUFFLERS
MBT229 AU SEDAN IRS 5.0L V8 2½” DUAL TAIL PIPE

How loud is this off the shelf system and how much did it set you back?

Yeah that one is mild steel with stainless steel tips and no rear muffler just center mufflers and tailpipes, its a good note i reckon. it sets you back about $950 in perth
