Hi guys, long time no post

Have a few questions about my BF XR8,

Had it service the other day from the dealer it was purchase from ( to retain aftermarket warranty)
It was the 135,000kms service 'B' it only had a minor service, engine oil and filter done.
Is a service B supose to be a major service or has the dealer stuffed up? the dealership is not a ford dealer but still a major reputable dealership. The lady at the counter told me i just need to have the oil and filter changed to retain warranty but I told hear I wanted it serviced with accordance to the handbook.

I was under the impression that the service B is major and includes diff oil, gear box, ect.

Also the slave cyinder is leaking, this will be a warranty fix no doubt, but wondering if this is common and what price would a new slave cylinder cost out of Curiosity.

I don't know if they (slave cylinders) are the same as a BA with a 5sp, but they were like $700 + from Ford.
BUT, I found out they were the same as one for a Chevy 3500 HD truck....it even had the same Ford part number cast into the plastic, and it was $28 USD.....and it needed a 3mm spacer under it, and it came with extra 'O'rings, so swapped over the hydraulic fittings (Chevy to Ford).....it's all good, and it works.
The gearbox has to come out to replace it.

the warranty covers $2000 per item including labor, so should be covered no expense to me. Might just pop my head under the car one day and just check the diff and gear box oils, makes me wonder if they have ever been changer....

Had a bit of a look undernieth the car today, Diff oil looked really dirty most probly original oil from the factory going to have to change it prety soon.
also the gearbox apears to be one of thoes sealed for life units (tremmac T56) dosent have a drain plug! just a fill plug and a warning sticker: DEXRON III, DO NOT REMOVE FILLER PLUG REFUR TO SERVICE MANUAL.
