im not 100% sure on WA laws as ive only moved here from nsw last weekend, but i know in eastern states they are no matter how they are wired up as u are only allowed white lights for parkers and headlights, orange for indicators, and orange/yellow/clear for fog lamps

or on any part of car.

bought the missus blue lights to go on valve cap on her laser. and the cops pulled her over, and said she ant have them on. then i asked what was the go, he said all blue or red lights on cars are banned while the car is in motion.

so if car is in motion, yes they are illegal

in wa you can have them on when driving "as long" as the tubes are not visible!!! ;) so tuck the tubes under the body and she will be sweet! but you will probly get puuled over and they will just find something else to hurt you with!

thanx champs,

mine arent neons, theyre l.e.d lights aswell, and they arent visible, i tucked it up into the initial '87 model xf bonnet crve and it shines through the ford sign and underneath my stock xf bodykit.
i do have pics, but my comp is stuffed and cant seem to get em on here, its a really nice xf eh, ive only ever seen one other come close to mine and in the condition of mine, so itd be great to hear or know of anyone sles with a showroom cond. xf.

im only 15 now, soon 2 be 16, but i thought id get a car early and get 'er done type thing.

i reckon a few little blue LED's would look unreal underneath the bonnet vents of an EL XR or EF XR, so you just get a small blue glow out of the bonnet vents at night...call it rice if u like, but if i had an XR, i'd try it out, see how it looks.
