On the ED page is shows a power supply coming into the smartlock module off the wiper fuse, and another off the interior light fuse...

The body module controls the intermittent timing so doubt it is that...

other than that I'm not overly sure either... :?

I'd say probably the cct board is the same as the EBII/ED units, and that you could still hook up the keyless entry element.
