Ride: Xf ute EL fairmont wagon

New Zealand

I have an old xf ute & have just been given a EL Fairmont wagon, im wanting to know if all the EL running gear will go into the ute.
I have thought that since XG-XH utes are similar vehicles to both it shouldnt be too difficult? Or am i way wrong ?

Yeah it all fits. The lower firewall section on the XF-AU models is the same. Heater box is common. A few bracket items have to change if you want to run the el dash.

there is a number of things that need changing.

1: Sway bar (the XF one will hit the sump you need an XG one.)
2: XF (ute) will have a mechanical fuel pump. (you will need to install XG/XH tank and wire it up)
3: Need XG Engine mounts.
4: XG radiator just fits, but requires a little manipulating. also the lower water pipe is larger diameter to the EL water pump size
5: XF has imperial threads/bolts and XG has Metric.
