i have a 95 ef xr6 and it has a couple of problems eg. bad idel and running bad once left, and im going to sell it. I was wondering do you think i should fix these problems and then sell it either private or trade in or is it not worth it i should just go trade in?

its in really good condition got rwc and just those little problems which is fixable. $5000 is pretty good but the body condition and once i fix those problems i would of thought it would of been a bit more. But ill put it up for sale n we will c what happens but i will prob trade in alot easier.

not sure about the trade in...maybe they go more on appearance than mechanicals....probably if it looks good then it might sell easier and so they might offer more????

the work it on kms, cond, mechanicals and so on, they have to work out how much money they will have to spend on it before putting it on the yard, so the warranty doesn't bit them in the a**. your better off fixing those little problems easier to sell a car that is running good then trying to explain that they are the only problems with the car. when its running good you could get around $6500 or $6000 if want you to sell it quick. As a trade in its only gonna max at $4000 then they will spend bout a grand on it then if good enough will put it on the yard at $7990 or more.
