Ummm ... kinda had an issue yesterday in the XG ute.
turned the fan on ... no air ... strange ... then a few seconds later there was smoke "wafting" out of all my vents.

HELL ... it stunk as well.

I think the blower fan motor has seized up.

Any idea the cost of replacement ... is it a dash-out job????

I still have A/C and heat if in "fresh" ... just no fan speeds.

I was told that the blower motor is under the dash on the passenger side in the XG's.

Any thoughts????

i'll bet the fan speed resistor block is f**k, and smoked a few dead leaves while it died

Easy fix????
(Here's hoping)

If not I'll leave it ... kinda thinking about a change of plans at the moment,

The resistors are just screwed in just behind the glovebox. Easy remove and you will know straight away if that was the problem.

Should be cheap as to replace
