Hey all,
My first post. I am looking at getting an "X" series ute. I did have an XH but had to sell it as I am unemployed. I am looking at maybe an XG bomb to do up over time.
Now, It is my understanding that the XG mechanicals were the same as the XH. Is this true?
I would love to get another XH but finances are severely restricted and this will be a long term project to do, with money available after saving my pension up. Hence the XG which appear cheaper than the XH.
So, any info on XGs ( or really, really cheap XHs) would be appreciated.
Cheers

100% agree with Ashcook there.
It is very very rare that you will find a cheap ute that doesnt need a lot of work.
I was not interested in doing stack sof rust repairs this time around (I have enough of those to do with 2 $WD's (4x4) in the household) so I had to pay more to get a decent base.
I paid $1600 for my XF and for the condition it was in I considered it cheap. But it is most definately not perfect.............yet.

If you are happy to look at an XG look at XF's as well. Many more out there , the e series running gear pretty much bolts straight in. Th eonly difference between XF and XG are XG's have indicators on the front guards and a different instrument cluster.

More people paid for a ride in a VT commodore then an AU Falcon so the VT is superior.
Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!
