Sounds like you've actually got an XD povo pack centre console in there. :?

As far as the wheel alignment goes, I live a long way from any sort of city (about 220ks) and we get wheel alignments here for 44 bucks and if your tyres need rotating thats free. And the guys here do know what they're doing when it comes to wheel alignments. 8-)

Unsure on the mounts being different, but if it is real low and just has a try in it with no lid then it really sounds like a gli centre console. That being said, I wouldn't have thought the mounts would be different :?

I have an XE S-Pac with a centre console, flat with no lid, not like my XF S-Pack that is padded with a lid. Anyway about a year ago I lent on it to pick up somthing from the drivers side floor and it exploded into pieces (17 exactly). Couldn't get one anywhere so I reassembled it with body filler and strips of aluminium reinforcement on the back. Then I reinforced the whole inside with body filler about 15mm thick. Cleaned up the outside and patched any cracks on the outside, wiped it over "quickly" with some thinners to etch the surface and sprayed it up to match the original trim colour. The whole lot looks better than the original has looked for about 15 years...
