great thread mate
i always appreciate info like this. cant get enough of it!
would be fantastic to se a comparison of all variations of each model (ie EL hybrid as an example not just EL) as im sure as you have suggested there would be a few bitsa motors getting around.

the above rod/piston combo sounds like a fantastic speedway option (or i guess a few hot street n/a engine lol).
i would love to see someone do an n/a engine running methanol with some stupid high comp. would be very interesting!

You know, the 250ci and the 4.0L share the same stroke too... I wonder if the dimensions of the cranks are similar if not identical.

It looks as though i have scored a free AU VCT engine (over heated) so hopefully i'll have a comparison after xmas.

any luck with this comparison?
i would assume it would be the same as a std au, but you never know!

I'll have a set of AU VCT pistons and rods sitting around soon, if they will come in handy.

So its possible to fit EF EL rods to a AU crank with EF EL pistons to make a AU motor a little stronger than stock for boost? as It crossed my mind before I bought a spool rod and piston package for my motor.

There is no real reason why you couldn't it.
