Hi guys,

Baically my car does not want to lock itself!!! When i go to lock the doors, they all lock and then witin a second they all unlock themselvers..... When this happens the interior light stays on and it will not turn off!!!
I have tried to lock it manually with a key from outside and same problem.....
Im guessing its probably a faulty drivers side actuator but any help would be appreciated...

not sure if it is the actuator. I had my drivers side rear door actuator just go and the car still locked. It is just the door with the faulty actuator that wouldn't lock. However, mine was a mechanical failure inside the actuator not an electrical fault.
It sounds like the car thinks one of the doors are still open.

Don't know the most efficient way. But I do know that when I unplugged the wiring loom to the actuator on the door that was broken, the rest of my doors still locked. So you could try unplugging each door individually and see what happens. Someone might know of another way?

I know its an old thread, but for peoples info: To fix this problem, just replace the Body Electronics Module (BEM). Might have to go to wreckers/ford/ebay to find one. It might need re-programing by ford once installed as well.

Good luck.
