Hey there lads,

I have been asked quite a few times through pm about my BA light conversion, seems a few people want to do it.

I have been thinking about writing a tech doc about it, for others to use and follow or whatever, but not quite sure on how to do so. So i have 2 questions,

- Would it be worthwhile me doing so, IE: would it get used etc

- Do i just do a writeup with pics in microsoft word and submit or what???

Thanks people.

Andrew.

Sounds like a great idea. I was thinking about doing the conversion when I can find some cheap BA lights. I'd suggest doing it as an attachment in PDF or Microsoft Word format so people can download it if they want to.

Whether or not people use it is another matter. At least if someone asks about it you can say, "Look in the Technical Documents section".

OK,

i've written a doco, containing enough photos to do the conversion with ease. The doco has a couple of borrowed photos of the net that i didn't take photos of, this fills in my blanks.

Now, how do i submit it??

The first Announcement in the Technical Documents section outlines the procedures for submitting a doco. I think you'll have to send it to someone called Happy to get the OK (via a PM I presume).

Would be very interested in seeing how you do it, though Ive got an EF Ghia so mine would be different. Got any idea which ones are suitable for an EF EL conversion? Ive been looking at other cars for suitable donors, possibly BMW, Mazda 3, Elantra or VU Commodore

I'm sure the conversion would be similar in how it goes together, the problem is through how narrow the EF/L lights are. Personally i dont think elantra or mazda 3 will fit as the would be too deep and large, you may find bmw lights that can fit.

You didn't mean VE did you? Because VU lights reflector dont really differ that mu7ch to EF/L

You should go to the wreckers with your tape measure and see what fits.
