i cut the hose and fitted the pod to see that the outside clip ( square thing) was not lined up with the ones on the box. after sussing it out further it seems that my pod is hitting the top of the airbox so their is no way it will fit properly. atm i have the pod sitting on the house with only a hose clamp and not screwed in. also the intake going to the throttle body had to be unbolted becuase the outside screws dont line up on the outside the throttle body intake pipe does not line up either. so pretty much it is all on 2gether except it is not 100% gap free and it is only being held on my hose clamps. i was thinking of fitting the pod over the pipe in the box and then cutting the airbox to fit over the top of the intake pipe(going intot he airbox),.,,if that makes sense so their would be a 5-10mm gap around the intake to the airbox... thoughts> You could just buy a 3in 45degree storm water bend from Bunnings for $2.50 and epoxy glue it into the back of the lid. Then put your pod on the end of that. Like this;
Cheers

I will prob' get shot for asking this, but how is that any better than a k&n panel filter if you are still enclosing it in the box?

well pretty much isnt any difference apart from a massive amount in price. but if you were to add an extra pipe to collect cold air from the front bumper or simlar it would definately be better.

They do benefit some cars that have very restrictive oem intakes/airboxes, but most people know the ford intake is good up to 140rwkw. I mainly keep switching back to them due to the induction roar you get, it's addictive!

depends on the setup, if you have a panel filter under the scoop you would want some way of blocking the water during heavy rain otherwise the filter will get wet and crappy...

Exactly, K and N panels are rediculously expensive, its daylight robbery. Especially when the pod inside my box is a K and N, and it was half the price of a panel, WTF.
