I got a EB GT kit with flares but with not front bar. I did not like most off the shelf front's for Box cars. But I was being stupi with my brother in-laws GTR front bar, I then decided the a R32 GTR front bar was going to happen.

Its not fitted yet but Should be on and painted in a few weeks.

Those side vents are now missing, Thank god!
Im still deciding on a bonnet, scooped bulge, XC scoops or Molded EB GT scoop and vents.

Interesting... at least someone's trying something new! I'm not a fan of most off-the-shelf fronts for the boxcars either, but if you're doing the GTR front you've gotta do the rest of the GTR kit or it'll look ridiculous! Anyway, can't wait to see the front all painted up with those vents removed.

Ill admit the R32 GTR front bar looks a bit silly at the moment but at least someone is trying something new instead getting an Off the Shelf Body Kit, who knows it may look hot with the R32 GTR front bar. I am extremely anxious to see it when its finished ! Keep up the good work !

this is my old EA with 4' tip

new EA with twins they do the job sorta but would rather a bigger dumper twin in there or either a XB GT oval/square or a set of Holden twins from a clubby or something.

I looked at so many kits when I bought XR8 but settled on what was known as the GS kit - now called the MMM. It was a development of the blown XF that was built for Mobil but I reckon it flowed better on the E series body.

In about '93 they released the front spoiler minus the spotty recesses - looks ok too.
I kept the standard XR8 wing rather than something on posts, looks sharper imo.

Had to fit a twin system on it after I built the new engine so it still needs some work to build a small return lip and neaten up the bigger hole.

It is a big kit though, front / rear aprons, side skirts + lower door panels to each door.
Here's a few shots from all the angles.

It depends on what your after.
A ED sprint lip kit is always good looking.

Brock kits and d**k Johnson kits are sutle but stylish.

A EB GT kit needs good wheels and needs to be fitted well, other wise the flares don't match anything. Like mine.

The GTO kit is good if you like a more "Out there" look.

The rare Moffat kit is a good looking one that works if you plan on a Retro style. Im thinking of doing this my self now.

The MMM kit is good as you can see above.

And Me personally, I don't like the SSV kit. It looks like a VN Group A kit. But if You like it then go ahead.

Thats just a small run down of most of the kits that are made to kit boxcars.
