Hi All, I have just registered on this site because http://www.fordforums.com.au S&%@'s #&$!!
I am hoping to gain some hard to find information about the EF Fairmont Ghia Series II (Oct 95) Specs/setup. I just bought this car of http://www.gumtree.com.au (awesome sight) and was surprised when i got home and really looked over it with a mate to find out it is the Series II. I am keen to find out diff, suspension, tow pack or not? etc., any mech improvement's, anything at all really. Im just keen to know and learn about what I am sitting on here. One important hint that suggests to me there is mods to the series two is because on http://www.redbook.com.au (awesome sight) there is a difference in power between the ghia's. The 95 SI having 157kw and the SII has 162 kw, please help me to know what I'm sitting on here, Cheerz all. PS I Noticed a nice lookng 'T' on the front of my Head, is it a tickford? and if it is, what is the difference. It's great to join this site, it looks great, I will post some pics of my girl very soon.

Yep the series 2 is basicly a luxury EF XR6 with a different exhaust, thats why there is a 2kw loss.

EF Series I Ghia
* seats were mix of velour & leather (yuck) * same driveline as normal Fairmonts * Ghia Wheels * Theres obviously more but im not sure....... EF Series II Ghia (October 95' onwards) * XR6 Driveline (tickford Head, 300kpa fuel reg, 3.45LSD diff, XR6 ECU, XR6 suspension * Full Leather seats & Leather/Woodgrain doorcards with Chrome handles * Chrome T-Bar shifter button (?) * Chrome Ghia exterior badges * Passenger side airbag * Double Din stereo * Ghia Wheels * Theres more, but thats all i can recall atm..... Obviously the EFII Ghia is the pick of the bunch, as it received eveything the EL Ghia's had. The EL Ghia had a few more extra's like exterior Chrome moulds and other things |

thanks guys, appreciate the input and feedback.
I have noticed that the idle seems to be a bit lumpier than my mates EL GLi, does anyone know how these came out cam and head wise? considering the T head I am curious.

WOW man!!! That link has it all, its exactly what i was looking for. Thanks a lot FordFairmont. I will put some pics up before the end of the year,
PS: my car has the red rocca cover on it, and with the T on the head. hmm I wonder.....

No difference. They are the exact same engine. 6 cyl tickford engine = XR6 engine

thanks, I'm happy with that, considering i paid 2.5k for it, its a very nice ride with XR6 rims on it, not lowered or tinted yet, but nice sports exhaust, any way cheers for all your feedback.
