It might seem obvious to the old hands, and those familiar with playing with a car, but for the uninitiated, its easy to get lost among the different wires, relays and switches that are under the car bonnet and in the cabin.

This might be a good one to start at?

I like it.

Would be a good chance to get stuck right into the basics - for example, how a relay works etc etc

Well, I'm currently trying to install some driving lights with little success, (getting the wiring right) so far, so when I've got it, I'll knock something up.

I installed foggies into my mates commodore, can offer some help to the document regarding calculating power, amps, knowing how much wire and thickness, what relay, fuses etc
