Would 14" 12 Slotters fit on an EA?

Standard is 15" so the 1" difference is legal, but will they clear the brakes?
Is the offset suitable?

I always liked the look of 12 slotters, but dont see 15" ones around often.
They seem to be a cheap way to get wide wheels.

As for gearing, looking to install 4.0:1 gears soon so no fussed about that, the lower the better.
Any thoughts?

The reason they are cheap is because there is f**k all wide tyres around in a 14" nowdays to fit to them.
The ones that are available will cost you Australias National debt.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Thanks for the heads up.. probably saved me a packet.
Whats your advice for wide rims in a 15"? Not looking to stand out.
Hell if they made wide snowflakes, Id use them.

Perhaps XR6 rims? I just hate 50 series rubber and below. Is terrible for traction

I believe, for traction, you want some sidewall to the tyre. The more rim you get, it seems the less side wall. I want launches, not wheel spin.
Id prefer to have the rolling parts made up with stuff that grips, not rim.

If you want a car to do corners, low profile (to a point) is better as the bag you get from the sidewall doesnt roll outwards. I just want to smoke cars off from the line, and I never to distance trips.
So my diff of choice is 4.x:1 and if I can lower the ratio a little more with rubber, id prefer to do that.

Ultimately, personal choice.

For years the old Toranas were doing great times on 265 13" rims. You wont see a top fuel running on low profile.

Snowflakes with 235/60R15 rubber on them work quite well for traction....gets you around 26.1" total tyre diameter.

Nice. If I had known I could fit 235s on my snowflakes, I would have :)
