Hi, does anyone know how many RPM an EL V8 auto should be doing at 100km/h with both of the above diffs? Thinking of changing my diff to a 3.45 so would be interested to know how many more revs it will be doing on the open road.
Mine currently does about 1950RPM (3.23) but I would have thought it would be lower. My EL is an ex-pursuit with the calibrated speedo and the trip computer reports a different speed to the speedo (when the overspeed alarm is set at approx 110km/h and beeps the speedo only reports about 104km/h. Maybe time for a re-calibration! |

With 16" rims it will be around 2050rpm...
With 17" rims it will be a touch under 2000rpm.. Something like 1970rpm. |

That is because you have a manual... Different gearing. |
