Cant be 100% shure but I think the EF was the first model to be fitted standard with ABS from 94 on

if you do the abs pump will be located in the front bar on the left hand side. there will be a plastic sheild bit just unscrew that and have a look if the pump is there.

alternativly when your driving down the road at about 20-30k's slam the brakes on as hard as you can, if the wheels lock and let go and lock again the yes you have abs, if you get nothing but wheel lock then no you do have abs

obviously excersise precaution when doing this as you do want another car to ram up your a*** because you hit the brakes. just use your noodle is all im saying

cheers

EF Gli's didn't come std with ABS - only futura & above did.

ABS may have been optioned though - so, as the boys have said you'll find the ABS unit under the front left guard (headlight side) or lock the brakes up & see what happens! lol :P

Quickest way (saves your back and knees from undue bending :P )

You can check the Master cylinder - if it has two brake lines running off to the LH side of the engine bay, you have ABS. If you have a 3rd line running off under the master cylinder through a hole in the RH wheel arch, you don't have ABS.

No problemo, if ABS isn't there, just fit it :P .

It's not that hard, but does take some time though, I can tell you . . . . :?

I really wouldnt bother with abs just yet if you dont have it. Its better to learn on a non abs car that way you will know how to control your car better instead of relying on computers.

my 2 cents eh

My 94 EF only has ABS on the fronts only, which is why i have had to replce the X-Drilled and slotted DBA 131's with 132X's today as mine does have ABS and has a keniption fit about not sensing the abs ring.
