hi im thinking of converting my AU xr6 auto to manual, but i was thinking if a manual gearbox form a standard au falcon ute series 3 would fit in an au series 2 xr6 seden. please much help needed

yeah that gearbox conversion is from a ute, thats what im confused about. does any one have any ideas about converting an au falcon to manual. can you get a gearbox from any au falcon including utes. any people with expereince please reply, thank you

yeah mate. a gear box is a gearbox. If its AU it will fit.
I am going to assume tailshafts are the same length from auto to manual, same as e series. but double check that. If you do a search, you will proly be able to find a bit more |

does a t5 manual box from a eb/ef/el fit on a au motor? sure will! theres a couple of issues with some small bolts down the bottom not lining up. but the main big ones go in fine. im not sure if the tailshafts are the same thought between au and e-series. but an e series t5 will bolt up to au motor

sorry i should clarify. the small bolts im talking about are on the bellhousing down the bottom

well thats what i need to know, if a ute gearbox will fit in a sadan, also do i have to any wiring. my car is an auto and it any starts on park netural etc, so what kind of stuff do i have to do after, i ve put the entire set up in my car thank you.
