Which joint do you use as $220.00 is pretty good for a full flush

Marko Auto Transmissions at Penrith. The prices may have gone up but that is what we paid for when we had the old EVL mobile done.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

I think a full flush every 20k is way overkill, and if you're needing to do it every 20k, then its copping way too much abuse and wont last any longer anyway.

Dropping the pan and replacing the filter every 20k is about the most it needs IMO.

Heat and burnt fluid is what kills autos. You do what you have to to make things live.

Treat it like how you change your engine oil every 5 to 6k but at extended intervals. I must embed the trans flush, service and put it to practice with mine. following the manufactures recommendation intervals or slack off on it only means my trans won't last 150k.

I never follow what the manufacturer says as there intervals are way to long in my oppinion, i change my engine oil and filter every 3 months which 4000kms i do and gearbox service every 20k.

I pulled auto out yesterday ( put in manual today ), and I flushed the auto 12 months ago, and it has done about 10,000km, and the ATF is brown. Flushing is required when they were never serviced regularly in the first place. If the fluid is red/redish-brown, when you do the service. then a flush is not required. That is what I was trying to get across before.
In the case of my auto, I would flush it again.
