Hey all,

When driving around town, in most cars i have driven and even my old mans old ba futura... in the auto it usually gets to top gear (4) pretty quick when cruising around 60/70kmh

Now with our new XR6 BA.. Series 1... it seems to stay in 3rd alot while crusing at those speeds... now normally i dont care but the car seems to use a bit of fuel.. I have my AU III ute and I get round 10.5 to 11 Litres to the 100... now with the XR6 im getting 13 to 15 litres to the 100..

Any insite?

Cheers
Phil.

Or adaptive mode. If you've been giving it a bit of a flog, it will think you are wanting to continue so it stays in one of the performance adaptive modes.

If you're dads one has been p***y footed around it will go into an economy adaptive mode.

Just depends how you drive it. It will change modes depending how you are driving.

And BA's will always use more fuel in city / suburb mode than an AU or E-series. Heavy bastards they are.

Although I can recommend a yearly change of oxy sensor to keep consumption down.

Yeah, cheers for that.. see how it goes if it changes... also it has done 125,000k so it be due for a replacement oxy sensor... hopefully that improves it a little.
