hey guys, just put a standard clutch back in the eb. done a couple of skids and its already starting to slip. What are my options for getting a beefer clutch that will handle it? have heard i might have to machine the flywheel done if i put a heavy duty in it?

You can get upgrade clutche kits from most auto parts stores, or gearbox/clutch/diff specialists. EXEDY make a good upgrade kit (consisting of clutch plate, heavy pressure plate, and new throw out bearing) for the Falcons.

I noticed your in NZ, so not sure the money difference, but the exedy kit i speak of is around $220 in AUS dollars.

You can get even better kits, but depeding on your engine mods etc, and your HP, you may or may not need a better one.

Also, when fitting a beefier kit, i reccomend machining your flywheel.

Hope this helps.
Andrew.

exidy or xr spec is the only way to go no use going to a bigger better clutch unless you have some serious hp or a really really big left leg if you cant find a decent auto store over there i can post one via my store

usually there are a few movig on fleabay.. most auto shops worth their mustard will be able to order them.

The other option is V8 flywheel and clutch kit.

Flywheel machining should cost ~$30 if you pull it out yourself.
