Anyone know why bendix stopped making metal kings?

They use to work almost as good as the ford breaks.

The titanium strip breaks are a POS. They are the apprent replacements for metal kings.
The supercheap auto brand of breaks work better and cost half the price.

Anyone know of a decent 3rd party brand of break that doesn't cost the world and works almost as good as the genuine ford breaks?

I have QFM HPX pads on both my XR6s, and they perform extremely well at reasonable cost. I switched from EBC Redstuff (front) and Greenstuff (rear) on my EF, and won't be going back. The QFMs work far better on my cars and are much cheaper. I buy them here:
