Hi all was looking for an idear what's wrong with my car I have a ba xr6 turbo and today went to take off round a corner at normal pace when it went clunk and started vibrating the car. It won't move forward at all just makes a lot of noise and shakes the car heaps but reverse worked no worries at all any help would be good cheers

Yeah thought that would be the case reverse has given up now as well any idear what sort of cost I'm looking at and is it easy to put in a 6 speed auto?

About 2k give or take for a standard rebuild.

my brother thought he did his gearbox in his BF XR6 but it ended up being his tailshaft snap in the centre so that only cost him 1200 for a new one but what we got told from the transmission joint the ZF 6 speed u can only get from ZF in sydney and there around 7500 dollars worth unless ur lucky enough to find a wreck BA-BF laying around with a 6 speed in it.
