Quite a few guys are using greenstuff pads on thier falcons, but arent green stuff for smaller lightweight cars? and the redstuff for larger heavier cars?

Yes, redstuff is what the website recommends, and what has been recommended to me. The older redstuff pads were prone to noise, and had to be warmed up, but apparently the newer ceramic pads are good cold, better hot and relatively quiet. I'm getting some fitted soon so will be able to let you know results. Joe

They immediately seem alot better than my previous pads which were Ferodos. So far they're quiet, smooth and have good brake feel, while still bedding in. Hopefully they won't heat up and warp the new disks like the last pads (apparently that's what caused 3 sets of RDA's to warp). They seem like good pads - they're ceramic and the box indicates they're made for the aston martin vantage!

Still waiting to fit my kits.
But man - the front end is really really starting to get wobbly under brakes recently. I hope that it is only warped rotors, because if it isn't whell aligmnemnt and it isn't warped rotors, then it literally feel like something else has bent - it is that bad.

Hi all,
Emergency question..... I'm trying to put my new rotors on right now, it had new cups in them but I figured the same brand would be a better idea so I knocked them out... now I can't get them back in again.... (turns out they are the same brand and model (repco).... so how do I get the bearing cups pressed back into the rotor without damaging them???? I tried a rubber mallet and a wooden block but these things are tight.... suggestions please good folks? rgds Frank |

Do you still have the old bearing cups?
If so I use them to sit on the new ones and use a normal hammer to tap one side and then the other etc. Keep doing this until the new cups go home. The sound of the hammer will change. Hope that helps. Cheers BenJ
