Hey does anyone know what revs at 100km I would be doing If i change my diff gears to 3.7:1 in EF fairmont Auto?

How much more fuel would be used under normal driving?

I think MRNASTY has 3.7 diff gears??? PM him.

Mine has a 3.45 LSD and does around 2100 rpm at 100 kays, which (for me) is high enough.

yes i have 3.73:1 gears. sits on 2300rpm at 100km/h and i really didnt notice much of a change in fuel economy. There would have been, but i didnt notice heaps of difference from 3.08:1 in regards to fuel cosumption. definatly better acceleration.

ive got 3.9's in my xr8 manual and it sits at about 2400 at 100kmh (120kmh on the speedo)
id guess 3.9's would be between 2200rpm and 2300 rpm

Yep, find what rpm your car does at a speed , then divide by your gear ratio and multiply by the ratio you want.

so if I have a 3.23 diff and do 2100rpm at 100kph and am thinking about changing to 3.9's

2100rpm / 3.23 * 3.9 = 2535rpm
