i bought an ea manual sedan a while back and it had a lsd in it that was a bit shot, i managed to drive it home, it still drove ok but on exhaust brakes there was a real loud grinding noise, wasnt as bad as you accelerated tho, there doest appear to be much play tho, would it just be bearings? see i sold that car and still have the diff and want to fit the lsd centre into my other ea, would the lsd centre go str8 into the single spinner housing? is it all the same?
thanks

Grinding noises can mean bearing, or the shims, or just s**t oil, with s**t floating in it.
If you have an EA, the EA LSD will go straight in. The EA manual LSD should be a 2.97 or a 2.92 can't remember, and they are both 25 spline. The problem standing here, is that the crown wheel is matched with the pinion. Hence if you have different gears in each of them, the pininon and crown wheel will need to be changed over (and its easier to just change the whole diff)...

Cheers
