Well hey guys my gearbox is playing up again, no warning lights on the dash or any bleeps coming from the clock to indicate anythings wrong. The symptoms are that it wont change into fourth, no power whilst in D, wont let you go over 2000rpm with the foot down, and incredibly slow to drive from a stop. Driving with the gear selector in 1st 2nd and 3rd lets you rev it out, but still cant get into fourth so sits at about 3000 revs going at a 100ks when its usually just under 2.

Any ideas guys? any help at all would well be much appreciated.
Also its a periodic thing sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn't also might be worth a mention usually seems to happen most when car is warmed up never really a problem whilst the car is still cold.

Also posted the same question on fordforums really would like some help on the issue.

Regards sefton

TPS switch faulty? on the side of the throttle body there are two black sensors piggy backed onto each other, engine side of the throttle body. one TPS is for the auto, one is for the engine. same thing happened to my EB, TPS was unplugged during an engine swap and not put back on. maybe your auto TPS has s**t itself

When my ea did that the outer sheath on the accelerator cable had fallen to bits and was preventing me from getting full throttle.
