Guys. Can anyone confirm 100% that this can be done?

Ive been told I can use the KFrame. Can I just unbolt the entire suspension/KFrame, and bolt it into an EB?

I understand the uprights are different, but want to confirm they can be used.

Cheers

Nigel

Yup, can be done. I put an EL K frame & front suspension into my ED Wagon. See my sig for the build thread, unsure what page the pics are on...

Cheers

You doing an engine swap as well? Far easier that way but could be done without, just more difficult. With engine in it would need to be supported from the top while everything underneath it disappears.

To drop a K frame there are 4 nuts/bolts to undo on each side, 2 sideways through the chassis rails and 2 vertical. You also need to drop the swaybar mounts, upper arms, shock strut, steering shaft joint and front brake lines (I think thats all) if you want the whole package, you can see that in one of my shots. EF/EL engine mounts are different than EB/ED, I used the EL mounts because I liked them better but you can use EB/ED if you want to.

Im doing an engine swap if I do it - EF XR8 ;)

Hmmm. Lots to think about there. Will be EB SII wiring behind dash and engine bay main, plus XR8 ECU/TCU and wiring.

not impossible, and really nice to drive after

Wife tells me that I have to "finish" the XF Ghia first...

Lowered it a little more on the weekend. Just needs a wheel alignment now

.. its a 5.0 EFI/4 speed auto as well. I think its nearly done now - possibly LPG first then I'll drive it daily while doing the EB
