just swap the lot, piece of mcake to pull out and put another one in, cleaner too. before you put it in, change the oil in the diff though.

much easier than the root around of swapping a centre. there is alot more involved in swapping a centre than there is in doing a complete diff and drive shaft swap. for the untrained in the ways of diffs you should be able to complete this in well under ½ a day. a centre swap, good bye weekend, hello frustration. cost alot more too as you will be bearings and what not along the way with a centre swap, then hoping you have the shims on hand in the correct size..

Not without also swapping the pinnon as well, dropping the axles and so on. everything needs to come apart just to swap a centre.

You'll most likely need a diff spreader to get the centre out - although some have said previously that the centre just comes out.

EL housing is better, It has revised upper control arms.

As above you can replace just the centre, however you may get noise as the centre has not been set to the housing.

I've replaced heaps of centres into non lsd diffs, and never had an issue.

But if you go down the entire diff route, (reccomended) you need to change hand brake cables and upper mounts.

Its great that you are on here and learning but may I recommend that if you dont know the answer 100% due to inexperience that you dont give advice?
Watch , learn and ask questions and you will be up with it in no time.
