Im wanting to find a 3:45 lsd out of an xr6 or ghia and put it in my futura, can anyone tell me how/what needs to be done and if i need any special tools. Cheers

Are you wanting to fit the centre into what you have ???
Assuming this is for an XH ute, just use an XH XR6 diff wholus-bowlus, just bolt it in.

Nah,brother's el sedan,i planned to use the entire diff from an xr,is it a fairly straight forward job?We have done 5spd conversions and have a half an idea.Is it a weekend job as its is a daily aswell

straight forward enough, undo handbrake cable, undo tailshaft, take off the watts linkage, undo the calipers and leave them hanging, that way you dont need to bleed the brakes, undo the trailing arms and shocks and diff should roll out. i did mine on a hoist to make s**t easier.
