Hi all
my xr8 has a problem changing from 1st to 2nd after driving it past 2800-3000rpm. I'v tryed double cluching because i thought it was my sinkro but thats not the the case. A mate of mine recons its a common fault but with my faith in ford i choose not to beleve it. Dose anyone no whats going on or is it really a common fault. Cheers

How old is the clutch? Sounds like the pressure plate is dying

my clutch is after market heavy duty but not shore on brand ( the guy i bougth the car of was a neat freak and only bought the best so yeah) and if it were the clutch wouldn't it hapen with all the gear changes. but you might be right because i have droped the clutch here and there for speaciel occasonse haha anyway, clutch plate drying would that mean a fluid of some sort
