Hey all,
My dads fg xr6t has the stuffed rear bushes and diff thud.
He isn't keen on replacing with o.e.m parts due to how crap they are and said he will fork out the cash on a decent set up that won't stuff up.
Any ideas in where to go to get a new LSD and bushes that are of strong capacity? Thinking a kaaz or similar would be good, but no idea on bushes, maybe super pro?
Also car is lowered on king springs stage 6 rears
It's also a zf 6 speed

Just quickly, the diff might not be stuffed, when the bushes let go the diff is free to move around within the rear end, which creates the thud. If it's not broke, why fix it :P

As for the actual diff bushes, I've got nolathane in the rear of my Bf, same style rear end. I find them pretty harsh to be honest.
I then drove a mod'd fg xr6t that we fitted a superpro bush kit in the rear, which you could tell by touch it was softer, and didn't have any harshness like mine. But then he broke them (thing was a weapon). I guess it depends whether you care about a little diff noise coming through the bushes or not.

Super pro bushes + beer + some f**k around to install yourself & you'll fix the prob easy. Known weakness.

Sadly not a job easily done.I just changed my diff-BA Mk1,and while it was out, replaced all bushes.

Superpro bushes would be the way to go and as waussiekid said, it is not an easy job, but it is something you could do at home with the right tools and time.

Just remember, that any move away from standard has a flow on effect. I used nolathane in part of the rebuild, and now the rear is stiffer; for me great; but if comfort is what you are after, then it will be a little harsh.

Hey guys,

I'm planning on doing the diff bushes in my Bf 2 Ghia in the next two weeks or so. After towing a trailer yesterday the clunking has become more noticeable so it's time for new bushes.

I don't want to have the ride too firm (it's a Ghia after all) so I think the Nolethane bushes are out of the question. I checked on SuperPro and found their 'comfort' kit for $265. Has anyone else used this in their ba/bf? Apparently it's the turbo design but softer for more comfort..
