Hi All I have a XP 302 sedan and would like to fit a 4speed Auto.
Has anyone carried out this mod?

I would appreciate any assistance it would save me a lot of time and effort.

the 4 speed is elec controlled unless you can score a pre elec 4 speed

Very hard job to do as the 4 speed auto is computer controlled. It can be done if you had a windsor 302 and you knew a very good auto electrician then there is the cost involved. It might be a better option to go with a 5 speed as there is only the speedo to worry about and I think Castlemaine Rod Shop might have a speedo unit to adapt from the electric speedo drive to the manual drive.

There is a 4sp auto that will fit to a 302 Clevo, its an AOD. We didn't get them here in Aust. Its also non-electronic. A mate of mine has one, and was going to fit it into his 37 Nash hotrod, but he has since scored an AU II tickford V8 & auto to put in it.

Thanks I can get a 4 speed btr autotrans with computer etc I just need to know if anyone has done the job and will it fit without cutting floor pan etc.
the electricals are not a problem. by the way I am running a 302 winsor and a c4 at the moment.
