My power steering rack is leaking fluid and I was wondering where would you go to get it fixed? It is leaking on to the exhaust and creating smoke. Can it be serviced or fixed? Or is this a whole new part?
I also am wondering that with the ghia models having speed senitive power steering would I need a ghia spec steering rack? I can get my hands on a standard ef one pretty cheap. If I lose the ssps i'm not too bothered. Any help appreiciated. Thanks Josh. |

sounds like rack ends need to be replaced, As Uniacidz mentioned, any decent steering joint worth their salt will be able to look and diagnose if its repairable of terminal.

Just got one ( SSPS ) for my DF LTD from Pick & Payless for $90.00 . Two new boots and tie rod ends later it still only owes me $ 136.00 .

Plus SSPS is total sh_t anyway IMO.
 I can't understand why anyone would actually prefer it over the normal rack!!
